Press Release Body = "'I'll do it someday' is a promise we all make to ourselves when it comes to following our passion," says Nancy Christie, author and change expert. "But all too often, 'someday' becomes 'no day' as we let our schedule become overloaded with tasks that fill our time but not our soul." Christie addressed this issue during a recent interview on Ruth Klein's "Time Management Secrets" show (www.ruthklein.com), as she offered tips on how to make time for what matters. (The podcast is available for download at on the Press page at www.communityofchange.com.) Her suggestions include creating a reasonable "To Do" schedule for each day, writing down your goals for this year and down the road, and balancing your activities between work, fun, goals and personal "recharge and reflect" time. A self-designated "rut-busting" expert, Christie says her intent "is to help people make the most out of life - live proactively, not reactively - so they can reach their dreams. Too often, what holds people back is their own insecurities and fear of the unknown. But by fostering a sense of accomplishment and self confidence, they can overcome those roadblocks to success and achieve their goals." The author of The Gifts of Change (Beyond Words Publishing), Christie knows firsthand how difficult it can be too overcome negative messages of "doom and gloom" - a topic she explores during an upcoming interview on the "As You Think" radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio (http://www.sirius.com/), where she is the official "how to change your life" expert. "Sometimes we are our own worst enemy," she says wryly. "We say we are being objective but what we are really doing is forecasting failure. We throw in the towel before the fight even begins. What I teach people is how to shut down the negative thoughts by replacing them with positive memories and future-focused plans, giving them a double burst of energy to keep them on track." In addition to working on her second book, Christie also presents her change-focused workshops throughout the country. "People love coming to my workshops!" she says. "Not only are they fun and educational, they also provide a great way to connect with others who are also 'change-focused.' The interaction is empowering and enlightening!"
